Zboston App Studio ("we," "our," or "us"), based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, operates the Live Wallpaper Android application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what system resources the App accesses, how they are used, and your rights as a user.
By installing or using Live Wallpaper, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
Information Collection
Live Wallpaper renders animated or dynamic wallpapers on your Android home screen and lock screen. To deliver this experience, the App requests the following permissions:

We do not collect, store, or transmit any images, files, or personal data from your device. Storage access is used solely to read the specific image you select. No gallery scanning, file indexing, or background file access occurs.
Use of Data
The permissions and system resources accessed by Live Wallpaper are used exclusively for:
- Custom wallpaper selection: When you choose a photo from your gallery, the App reads only that specific file to render it as a wallpaper. The image is processed on-device and never uploaded or shared.
- Wallpaper application: The
SET_WALLPAPERpermission is used only when you explicitly tap "Apply" or "Set as Wallpaper." No wallpaper changes occur without your direct action. - Background rendering service: The foreground service runs the animation engine for live wallpapers. It does not access any user data — it only renders graphics to the wallpaper canvas.
- Boot persistence: The App restores your previously selected live wallpaper after a reboot. This uses only locally stored preference data (wallpaper ID/path) and involves no external communication.
- User preferences: Settings such as animation speed, color themes, and wallpaper style are stored locally using Android SharedPreferences and are never transmitted.
The background service runs only to render wallpaper animations. It does not monitor your activity, access your notifications, read your messages, or collect any behavioral data.

Zboston App Studio does not receive or process any personal data collected by AdMob or Facebook Audience Network. You can opt out of personalized ads via Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Storage Permission — Detailed Explanation
We understand that storage permissions are sensitive. Here is a precise explanation of how they are used:
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Used only when you tap "Choose from Gallery." The App opens the Android system file picker, and only the single image you select is read. We do not scan, index, or access any other files on your device.
SET_WALLPAPER: Used only when you explicitly confirm "Set as Wallpaper." The App calls the Android WallpaperManager API to apply the wallpaper. No data is transmitted in this process.
You may revoke storage permission at any time via Settings → Apps → Live Wallpaper → Permissions → Storage. Revoking it will prevent custom image selection but will not affect wallpapers already set.
User Rights
- Right to revoke permissions: All permissions can be revoked at any time through your device Settings without affecting data held by us (since we hold none).
- Right to erasure: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored preferences and data from your device entirely.
- Right to opt out of personalized ads: You may opt out via your device's ad settings or through the third-party providers listed in Section 4.
- Right to information: You may contact us at any time to request clarification about our data practices.
- CCPA / California Rights: We do not sell personal data. California residents may contact us for further information.
- GDPR Rights (EU/EEA users): Since we do not process personal data ourselves, GDPR rights primarily apply to the third-party services in Section 4.
Children's Privacy
